Now that 2019 has come and gone it’s time to take a look at some of the best PC games of the year. It was an interesting year for PC games as there were few AAA titles released. Indy developers more than made up for it with a big collection of some of the most unique games we’ve ever seen. Here’s some of the best PC games for 2019.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall is the latest sci-fi strategy game from Triumph Studios and Paradox Interactive. Play as one of six factions in a single player campaign, skirmish mode or online with your friends in multiplayer mode.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall is the fifth in the series and takes place after a cataclysm destroys the human government. Now various factions are vying for control of the planet and you’ll play as one of their leaders. There are multiple paths to victory. Anno 1800 was one of the most anticipated city building games of 2019 and has just been released by Ubisoft. It returns the franchise to its historical roots, focusing on the dawn of the industrial revolution in the 19th century.

The last few releases in the franchise, Anno 2205 and Anno 2070, may have been a little too futuristic for some players. Anno 1800 returns to the beautiful and charming setting of the old world. A time rich with exploration, trading and scientific discovery. Like all the other games in the Anno series, Anno 1800 is a visual delight and a joy to play.

Mount and Blade 2 BannerlordsMount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is an action, RPG and strategy game by TaleWorlds Entertainment and set for release sometime in 2017. It’s the prequel to the combat simulator Mount & Blade: Warband which was released in 2010.

Graphics have been updated and you’ll be immersed in a beautiful and rich world. TaleWorlds programmers have custom designed an engine just for this game which will allow the battles to be rendered in spectacular detail. Read the rest of this entry

BattleTech Harebrained SchemesBattleTech by Harebrained Schemes started as a Kickstarter campaign and is due for release on the PC, Linux and Mac in May 2017. BattleTech will be a turn-based tactical mech combat game immersed in the classic BattleTech setting from the 80s.

There have been many mech-based games for the PC, most notable MechWarrior 2, which defined 3D action games back in the 90s. However, none of these games faithfully recreated the tabletop roleplaying game that many of us know and love. Read the rest of this entry
