Dwarven Caverns (Level 7)
The Dwarven Caverns are a bonus level accessible when you find all pieces of the Secret Map. They can be found in Secret Chests in levels 1 to 5 of Goblin Menace. There are no secrets in this level.
You’ll descend into the caverns and arrive at the first checkpoint. Head down the stairs to the right and onto the balanced platforms. Use them to jump up to the lever. Pulling it will open the door to the right. You may need to use a gravity field to hold the door open long enough for you to get through.
In the next section is a lever. As you begin pulling it a statue will break and two explosive boars will run through. You can slow them down with ice arrows. Take out the goblin as well and then pull the lever again for two big experience potions.
Head to the right for the second checkpoint. You’ll need to make it up the ramps. Use ice arrows to put out the barrels before they explode. A gravity field will also help to slow them down.
Once at the top head to the right and take out a horde of 7 or 8 goblins. Just beyond them is the third checkpoint and a lava lake with flaming balls going up and down.
Swing across when the time is right to the other side and jump across the platforms on the wheels of the great dwarven drilling machine. Stand on a platform to move the wheels and hop to the next one to keep the wheels moving. The machine will drill into the rock, clearing a path.
The fourth checkpoint is on a wooden platform here. There are two paths you need to take here.
You’ll need to take the lower path to get the cog up the top moving. Break the last bit of remaining rock wall. Glide or swing all the way down to the right and pull the lever.
Swing back across to the small bit of land under the wooden platforms. A well placed gravity field will help you make it back across. Stand on the air stream and get lifted back up to the wooden platforms.
Now you’ll need to make it across the top path through the spinning cog. Use a gravity field and plank to make the large jump across and duck under the cog to the fifth checkpoint.
There are two more cogs to the right. Climb up them both to the top. On the other side are more goblins. Make your way across to the right and pull up the cart on the other side of the tracks.
Hop in and ride it down to the other side. Jump across to the stone platform and watch out for the spiders.
Pull the lever to open the door and make a gravity field and plank to get across. On the other side of the door you’ll find the sixth checkpoint and a fire goblin.
Over the lava lake the platforms will drop down as you stand on them. You need to find a way to get to the top right side. Jump all the way to the right and use platforms to weight the last two columns down as shown in the pic below.
Hop to the left to the top of the second column from the right and back up to the right. You can destroy the boxes now to let the columns rise up again. Head through the door to the last checkpoint for the level.
To the right is a giant anvil and a gold piece of metal. You need to heat the gold first and then place it on the anvil to fashion it into a key. To get the fire started all three pipes need to be in place by pulling down the metal cylinders on the ropes.
You can do this by using planks with boxes on top between them. See the completed puzzle below.
Bring the metal onto the fire to heat it and then place it onto the anvil. When the key is ready use it to unlock the great big circular door to end the level and complete this game.
