You’ll emerge from the containment unit in the research facility. To begin you have very little health, 1/5, and you’ll be in the first stage of development.

Head through the passage to the right and then down through the pipes in the water. Break through the grates and continue through the only available path. When you find the first enemy you can eat them for health.

Continue to the right and eat the researchers for more health. Go through the open doorway and use a tentacle to pull the switch. This opens the hatch in the previous room.

Go out and climb up through the open hatch. You’ll find the first SAVE point where you can spread biomass.

This opens up a tunnel to the hub area, the Frontier. For each level you’ll need to open up a tunnel back to the Frontier. Most levels will need between 3 to 6 save points before the tunnel back to the hub will open.

Frontier – Wastelands

Head across the large cavern to the right and down through the pipe in the water. Break the grates to the left and pull the switch. This opens the hatch below.

Climb down twice and then through the barrier to the left. Head up the ladders and squeeze through the hole. This will take you to the Military Junkyard.
