Hollow Knight: Silksong Revealed

Silksong was initially planned as DLC for Hollow Knight but grew so large it’s become a game all on its own. This time you play as Hornet as she ascends to the top of a haunted kingdom. There’s over 150 new enemies to face as well as new combat moves, weapons and traps.

Team Cherry is comprised of just three people with a few extras who help out with various aspects of the game, such as the music score. The man behind the music and sound effects for Silksong is Christopher Larkin who created the original soundtrack for Hollow Knight.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Announced

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been officially announced for release for both the PC and Google Stadia. The exact release date is not yet known but at the earliest it will be towards the end of 2019 when Google Stadia is launched.

Over 20 years after the initial release of Baldur’s Gate it’s time to gather your party again and venture forth into the Sword Coast. Baldur’s Gate set the standard for CRPG games and with recent releases such as Divinity: Original Sin II and Pathfinder: Kingmaker the scene is set for the third in what will be a trilogy to make a comeback.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Review

Shadow of the Tomb Raider by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos-Montreal is the latest in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy. It looks absolutely stunning with a big improvement to the graphics from the previous games.

This release focuses more on platforming, puzzle-solving and exploration than battle scenes. There’s plenty of tombs to explore and side missions to complete. New tombs and content will be released monthly for the next seven months. One of them will be exclusive for those who purchase the Season Pass.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps Announcement

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an upcoming platform adventure game by Moon Studios. It’s the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest which is one of the most beautiful and picturesque games ever produced. Ori is a little guardian spirit who forget himself and his connection with the great Spirit Tree.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps will focus on new adventures outside of the forest of Nibel as Ori searches for his true destiny. The game was first announced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 (E3) on the 11th of June 2017. Read the rest of this entry

Styx: Shards of Darkness Review

Styx: Shards of Darkness is a stealth, fantasy, adventure game by Cyanide Studio. It’s set in a huge fantasy environment and is the sequel to Styx: Master of Shadows. You control the goblin Styx, whose ultimate goal is to find his way into the Dark Elven city of Korangar and find out why the Dark Elves are aligning themselves with the Dwarves.

Styx: Shards of Darkness is actually the third game in the series. The first was released back in 2012 and it was called ‘Of Orcs and Men’. The two following games focus on a single goblin, Styx, who is a jerk of a character but tons of fun to play. Read the rest of this entry
