Life is Strange: True Colors is the fifth in the series and is set in the small mountain town of Haven Springs. The playable lead character is Alex Chen. She has a unique ability, which she sometimes sees as a curse, to be able to read and feel the emotions of others.

The setting of Haven Springs is probably one of the best locations in the series. As you explore this area through the eyes of Alex you’ll need to embrace your own power while uncovering the dark secrets of the town.

Life is Strange: True Colors is one of the better written stories of the 5 games. It’s more consistent and believable in its delivery making it much easier to get emotionally involved in the stories, friendships and romances of the main characters.

Alex has up to 24 different outfits to choose from in your wardrobe. You can pick one of them to wear them as you freely wander about the streets and shops of Haven Springs. Alex keeps a journal which you can read to get more information about what she’s thinking and feeling.

There are many important decisions you’ll need to make along the way. They will have a big impact on Alex’s journey throughout the game. The decisions you make have consequences and the emotional responses and demeanor of the people around you will accurately reflect your choices. These choices will make a difference to the ending of True Colors.

There are two romance options for Alex and both of them feel realistic. The developer hasn’t prioritized one over the other. A lot of thought and effort has been put into both options.

Life is Strange: True Colors is possibly the best game in the series. It’s set in a beautiful location, the story is believable and heart-felt and the decision you make will carry over to the future in a consistent way.

The game will take about 10 to 14 hours to play and is available for Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.
