Level 5: St. Francis Folly
Back to Tomb Raider: Anniversary
St. Francis Folly
Run forwards and kill the two Lions as they emerge from behind the broken pillars. Once they’ve been killed you’ll get another short cutscene with Pierre.
To climb up run to the far back pillar on the right side. Use the cracks in the pillar to climb up to the top. Jump across to grab the crack in the pillar on the left. Climb up to the top. From here you can jump over to the balcony on the left side.
Jump to the next ledge and use the grapple to run along the wall to the room at the end. Inside you’ll find the light puzzle.
The picture on the back wall is lit up with lights. You’ll need to shoot the lights to open up various doors. Run around to the left to find the first code. Stepping on the pressure plate resets the puzzle.
The door around the corner has gems in the left eye and the sword. Come back to the light puzzle and shoot the left eye and sword.
When the door opens run through and make your way along to the second ledge. Take a look at the picture on the floor. This one is lit up in both feet, lower back and right hand.
Head back to the light puzzle, step on the pressure plate to reset the lights and shoot the four buttons shown above. This will open the gate behind you.
Grapple onto the hooks on either side of the golden ball to pull out the pin and then roll it down to the floor below. Jump down and push the golden ball onto the circular pressure plate. This opens a gate above.
Climb up the pillars as before and this time jump across to the gate you just opened. Drop down on the other side and pull the Switch to open the lower door. When you step through you’ll be attacked by 2 Lions.
Before moving the golden ball look up at the ceiling just behind the lower doors. This will give you the code for the first artifact.
Make your way back to the light puzzle and enter in the code. This opens the gate in the little room on one side. Jump over to it for Artifact #1.
Drop down and push the golden ball to the pressure plate behind the set of doors. This opens the next doors up the stairs. Head up the stairs and run down the long winding passage to the central hub.
The central hub consists of 4 side chambers and 4 switches. Each switch opens up one of the side chambers. At the very bottom you’ll find four locks and a door leading to the exit.
Grapple onto the white pillar to the right and pull it over. Then grapple onto the ledge ahead and pull it out. There are two switches on the top floor. We’ll be pulling them first.
Jump to the ledge that you just pulled out, turn left, jump to the next ledge, the alcove and then swing on the horizontal bar to the stairs. Go up and pull the Switch to open the Poseidon chamber.
Kill the 2 Bats and then jump back to the center. to get to the other side you’ll need to drop down first. Drop down one level and shoot the Button on the wall. This pushes out another ledge.
Drop down another level and run over the grey pillar that’s fallen over. Grab the Small Medipak on the other side and then jump up to the right. Climb up to the next handhold and traverse to the right. Jump up twice and climb up the stairs to the second Switch. This opens the gate to the Hephaestus chamber.
Jump back to the center and kill the Bats. Jump over to the ledge that you pulled out earlier and this time jump down to the right. Jump to a lower handhold and slide down the rock. Before you reach the end jump to grab another handhold and traverse around to the left.
This takes you around to the Atlas chamber but the gate isn’t open yet. Instead drop down twice and traverse under the door to the left. Jump across the gap and then swing on the bar behind you. Jump to the small ledge and climb up the rocks to find Artifact #2.
Swing back across the bar to the wall and drop down twice. Climb up, look out to the chamber and jump diagonally to the right. Grab the handhold and climb around to the left. Jump across to the next handhold.
Let go and you’ll slide down to the third Switch. Pull it to open the gate to the Damocles chamber. There’s just one more switch to go. Drop off the edge and drop down twice. The final Switch will be near the ground floor. Pull it to open the gate to the Atlas chamber.
Climb up the central structure to the ladder and climb up. Pull out a ledge from the first floor and jump across to it. Use the handholds to make your way around to the right and you’ll find the entrance to the Poseidon chamber.
Pull the Switch to open the gate. It’s on a delay and the gate is trapped so don’t go inside. Instead grab onto the outside of the gate and let it lift you up. Just on the fourth beat jump up and grab onto the window. Climb through and drop down the other side.
Kill the rats and then dive into the pool in the next room. Make your way down and pull the underwater Lever to open the gate. Swim through the tunnel and climb out on the other side.
The first thing to do is dive into the water and pull the underwater Lever at the back of the central structure.
This opens the gate above so you can get to Artifact #3. Grab it and then swim to the central structure. Climb up to the top and pull out the block in front of the fish statue. This will raise the water up one level. Swim over to the other alcove and push the block off the edge.
Dive down and pull the Lever on the central structure. This will release a platform that will float up and get stuck. Swim back up and push the block back in front of the fish statue. The water will lower again.
Dive down and climb out at the lower level. Push the second block in front of the statue and the water will drop all the way down.
Drop down to the ground and grapple onto the wooden platform. Drag it around anti-clockwise as far as it will go. Climb up to the first level and push the block in front of the statue to raise the water up to the first level. Grapple onto the platform and drag it around a little more until it’s between the two walkways above.
Climb up and pull the block away to raise the water level up. The platform should be between the v-shaped walkways. Jump on it an then up to the alcove in the wall.
Grab onto the handhold on the right side, jump to the right and climb in through the window to find the Key of Poseidon. Pull the Switch to open the gate, dive into the water and swim all the way back to the small pool. Head back to the central chamber.
When the ledge extends jump out to the central structure. Climb up one level and pull down the white pillar using the grapple. Climb onto it and push the cage to the left over to the left and then pull the cage to the right further to the left.
Climb up to the cage on the right and jump across to the handhold on the left. Traverse around to the left to the next handhold and drop down to the Small Medipak. Drop off the edge, drop down and slide down the right to the Damocles chamber.
Pull the block out in the wall above the gate. Pull the Switch to open the gate and push the block in. The gate will drop on the block so you can climb up and through the window.
Head around the corridor and step on the pressure plate to open the door. Run through the next room and grab the Key of Damocles. Quickly roll out of the way before the swords fall down.
Run up the broken walkway that forms a ramp and grapple across to the ledge in the corner. Turn right and jump to the central walkway.
Run along the right side and jump to the window. Pull the Lever to remove the swords from one tile in the room below.
Drop off the edge and drop to the ground. Run around the right side of the room but watch out for dropping swords. On the right side you can make your way through the room of swords. Wait for the swords to descend on the tiles and move forward a few steps. Eventually you’ll come out towards the chamber entrance.
Continue around the room anti-clockwise and climb onto the small pillar. Jump to the handhold on the wall, jump up and traverse to the left. Pull up to and pull the second Lever. This removes another tile of swords.
Drop down, climb up on the small pillar and do a swan dive over the swords. Enter the back room once more. Make your way up to the window with the first lever.
Drop of the edge, traverse to the left, jump up and then across to the left. Drop down and pull up onto the ledge with Artifact #4.
Drop down and enter the first room. Make your way around through the sword puzzle and climb onto the small pillar. Jump across to the handholds and make your way up to the window above with the second lever.
Climb up the white pole and then across to the pillar. Jump across to the left and then to the other white pillar. Slide down and grab the Large Medipak.
Jump diagonally across to the handhold on the wall and climb left. Use the grapple to swing across the gap and jump onto the pillar on the other side of the room.
Make your way across the four pillars and then onto the handhold on the wall. Jump right and make your way around to the wheel mechanism. Push it around to open the exit gate below.
Drop down and run back to the central chamber.
Drop down to the ground and work your way up the central structure. You’ll want to climb all the way to the top level.
Jump across to the platform that you pulled out when you first entered this chamber and jump down to the right side. Jump to the handhold and let go so you slide down. Jump before you fall off and grab the next handhold. Climb around to the left, drop down to grab the lower handhold and pull up. You’ll be outside the gate to the Atlas chamber.
Pull the Switch to open the gate and climb through the window as before. Follow the passage around to a wheel mechanism.
Push on the wheel mechanism to close the gap and quickly jump across to the other side before it reopens.
Run halfway up the ramp and climb on the handholds on the left side. Pull the Switch to extend a horizontal bar across the pit.
Drop down and walk towards the statue of Atlas. Use manual aim to shoot the Buttons on either side. When Atlas drops the globe run back down the ramp and jump to the bar.
Swing across to the other side and use the wheel mechanism to close the gap. Jump back over again and run up the ramp to grab the Key of Atlas.
Before you leave climb up onto the broken pillar on the right side (while facing up the ramp). Climb up to the higher ledge for Artifact #5. Pull the Switch to close the floor over the gap and make your way back to the main chamber. The exit gate doesn’t close on its own so ride it up, jump back to the bar and then back to the window.
Jump back to the central structure and climb up to the level where you are directly across from the door of Hephaestus. Jump to the ledge under the Button and climb across to the right.
Jump to the horizontal bar in the corner and swing across to the other wall. Drop down and pull up into the alcove. Walk behind the wall and carefully drop down on the right side. Climb to the right, pull up and enter the chamber.
Chamber of Hephaestus
When you try to get through the gate it falls off. Instead climb up the wall on the left side and jump across to the window.
To open the gate you’ll need to step on the four raised tiles in the corners of the arena. These act like pressure plates. If you step on any of the other tiles when they are raised you’ll get hit with lightning. If Lara is at full health she can survive a few lightning strikes.
Once all four tiles have been pressed down the gate leading to the next room will lower. For this room you’ll need to place 3 statues in the receptacles in the floor.
The first statue is out in the open so drag it onto one of the receptacles. The second statue is in the lime block. Drag the block under the big hammer on the left side of the room. The hammer will smash the block, leaving behind a statue. Drag it over to another one of the receptacles. Make sure the statues are facing towards the center of the room.
Stand on the pressure plate under the hammer, step off quickly and climb onto the hammer. From here you can jump onto the top of the hammer and then to the side platforms if you’re quick enough.
Jump to the platform to the right, then to the horizontal bar and the central ledge. In the small rear room you’ll find Artifact #6.
Use the bar to swing over to the other platform and drop the lime block over the edge. It will smash when it hits the ground, revealing another statue. Drag it over to the final receptacle and face it towards the center.
The pressure plate under the hammer will lift up. stand on it to trigger the hammer and step off. The gate in the center will open, giving you access to the Key of Hephaestus. Grab it and make your way back to the main chamber.
Climb down on the right side and retrace your steps back to the ledge with the button. Jump to the central structure and climb down to the ground floor.
Use the four Keys to unlock the four locks. This will open the gate to the next level.
