For the first level you’ll be split up until you reach the exit. For the sake of clarity Blue will go right and Orange left. Blue presses the red button and uses the cube to destroy the 2 turrets in the alcove on the Orange side. Blue places a portal under the cube dispenser and on the sloped panel. Press the button again to send the cube over to Orange.
Blue stands on the red button to lift up the platform so Orange can run across. Blue places a portal under the laser and on the wall to send the laser beam over to Orange. Orange uses the cube to destroy the 2 turrets guarding the exit on the Blue side and places the cube on the pressure plate. Both players can go through the door to the next room.
Blue places a portal on a nearby wall and on the roof of the undercover area across the water. Orange does the same on his side. Blue places portals on both of the sloped panels. Orange places a portal under the ball dispenser and on the sloped panel. The ball will drop down, be sent over to Blue and then sent back to Orange. Orange quickly steps through the barrier and places two new portals on the next two sloped panels. The ball will be sent back to Blue. Blue steps through the barrier on his side and places two portals to get across the water. Blue quickly catches the ball and places it on the pressure plate to open the exit.
Head down the stairs and around the corner. Watch out for the crusher and then walk through the barrier ahead. Blue will use the laser and Orange the funnel. Blue places a portal on the wall opposite the laser and on the wall opposite the laser receptor above the room with the light bridge. Orange places a portal opposite the funnel and on the wall opposite the window to the light bridge room. Blue points the laser through the portal to the receptor. This turns off the barrier to the light bridge room. Orange can float through the funnel to the light bridge and place a portal at the end of it. Orange can drop back down.
Blue drops the cube and places a portal at the end of the funnel and on the back wall so the funnel goes through the laser at the level of the receptor. Orange places a second portal on the wall beside the laser. The idea is that you can let the cube float through the funnel and get stopped by the light bridge where it will deflect the laser into the receptor which powers the lift. Both players will need to be standing on the lift before the cube hits the light bridge. Once activated they’ll be taken up to the exit.
Place a portal on the wall to the left and one near the barrier on the other side of the water. Both players go through. Orange places one portal on the hanging panel near the roof. Blue places portals so Orange can get across to the other side of the water and place. Orange places his second portal on the other side of the hanging panel.
Blue goes through the barrier and portals up to the ledge. Blue places a portal on the sloped panel and on the roof of the room beyond the wire mesh. Blue goes through the portal and replaces the second portal by putting it underneath him. He’ll get flung across the water, through the panel that Orange has his portals on, to a ledge with a red button. Press the button to permanently lift up a sloped panel.
Orange goes into the room on the right with the cube dispenser and places a portal on the roof above the bouncer and one through the small hole to the new panel. As Orange places a cube on the bouncer Blue must use the other bouncers to grab it in mid-air. Place the cube on the pressure plate and go through the exit.
The first part of this level is quite easy. Use the panel on the far side of the room to place a bridge along the length of the room. The other players uses the panels on the walls to spread gel along the left wall and all along the bridge. Bounce along the wall and the bridge to the other side.
The next room is a little trickier. Blue places a portal under the light bridge and on the wall to the left. Orange places a portal under the orange gel dispenser and on the panel above the flat bridge. Orange then places a portal under the blue gel dispenser and on the panel on the roof towards the end of the bridge. Blue can then gather speed and jump from the blue gel to a ledge with a cube. Grab the cube and jump back down. Place the cube on the red button. This lifts up a platform by the exit.
Orange places a portal under the blue gel dispenser and on the sloped platform next to the vertical light bridge to spray blue gel on the side of the bridge. Blue places a portal under the light bridge and on the vertical panel opposite to make a horizontal bridge. Orange places a portal over the light bridge and sprays blue gel on the horizontal bridge. Orange then uses orange gel with the sloped panel at the end of the bridge.
This should make an orange gel run up with blue gel at the end so you can jump to the blue gel on the vertical bridge. You’ll bounce back to platform by the exit.
Make your way through the offices, pull the switches and get in the robot pods. This will take you to the start of the next level 5.
Head down the walkway to the dispenser dropping grey gel on the ground. Place a portal underneath it and then to the side so that gel is sprayed on the ground on the other side of the gap. The grey gel allows you to place portals on top of it. Portal across to the other side of the gap.
Keep spreading the grey gel around until you can get it onto the wall of the yellow building above the walkway. Grab the cube and portal up to the walkway. Spread the grey gel to the building opposite and portal over to the roof of the other building. Take the cube with you.
Spread the grey gel to the side of the pillar facing out towards the exit. Place a portal on the pillar and one on the ground below. Drop the cube through and then both players drop through. You should land behind the turrets. Take them out and then place the cube on the pressure plate to lift up steps to the exit. Go through the door to complete the level.
Orange presses the red button and Blue grabs the cube. Take the cube to the laser but wait for Orange to get ready. Orange and Blue must bounce at the same time. Once the laser is lined up with the receptor a light bridge will form underneath. Orange walks along the light bridge and places a portal at the end of the light bridge. Blue releases the cube and Orange should fall down into a room surrounded by light barriers. Orange turns to the left and places down the second portal.
Blue bounces up again with the cube and this time drops it on the light bridge to keep it stable. Blue walks along the light bridge, through Orange’s portals and places a portal on the last panel. Blue drops down to the platform below. Orange walks back and removes the cube.
Finally both players bounce up again. Blue drops the cube on the light bridge and replaces the portal at the end of the bridge with one of his own. Both players can now walk through to the exit.
You enter a room with a funnel, laser, turrets in a small room behind a barrier and a cube in a glass room to the left. Blue places a portal above the cube and the other above the funnel. Orange places a portal in the hole in the middle and on the wall opposite the funnel.
Blue drops down the hole and is flung across to the funnel. Orange can use portals on the laser to reverse the polarity. Once Blue goes down the funnel and presses the button Orange must reverse the polarity to bring him up. Blue catches the cube as it falls and brings it back.
The cube can be used to destroy the turrets behind the glass in the back room. Blue uses the panel on the wall opposite the barrier to send the funnel into the back room. Orange goes through the barrier and uses two more portals to send the funnel along the room and picks up the ball. Blue reverses polarity and brings Orange and the ball back. Place the ball on the pressure plate to remove the barrier. Orange puts a portal in the main room and in the wall of the small room. Take the ball and bring it through the portal to the main room.
Use two portals on the wall to send the laser into the second receptor that activates the lift. Both players stand on the first lift. Make a funnel going to the pressure plate on the wall so when you place the ball into the funnel and it sticks into the pressure plate. This lifts up the first lift.
Remove one of the portals with the laser to move it and the second lift will drop down. Stand on the second lift and replace the portal so the laser hits the receptor again. The second lift will take you up to the exit.
Head down the walkway to the first room. There’s two gel dispensers in the far left corner and 2 turrets behind glass to the left. Across the other side of the room is a glassed off section with a button that when pressed releases a cube.
When you step on the button in the back right corner a panel flips around so you can put a portal on it. Blue places a portal under the orange gel and on the panel that was just flipped over to cover the right ledge with orange gel.
Orange places a portal on the sloped panel opposite the barrier to the glassed off section and on on the panel at the end of the ledge with gel. Orange runs through and is flung through the barrier to the glass section. Orange presses the red button to remove the barrier. Blue places a portal in the glassed off section and on a side wall and goes through. Both players should now be in the glassed off section.
While Orange stands on the button Blue places a portal under the blue gel and on the platform above to spray the high wall with blue gel. Blue then changes the second portal to the side wall to spray the area next to the block. Blue jumps down and teleports over to the entrance. Blue stands on the red button to lower the two blocks. Orange can use the blue gel to jump over the blocks and press the red button. This drops a cube. Use a portal to send the cube somewhere where you can grab it.
Blue places a portal on the high wall in the glassed section. Orange stands on the button so Blue can get through the barrier. Blue grabs the cube and runs through the panel that was flipped over. Orange will need to stand on the other button to flip the panel around. Blue should go through the portal and get bounced up to the far right corner. Use the cube to direct the laser to the opposite wall.
Use portals to direct the laser onto the turrets, destroying them. Spread blue gel on the floor next to the exit and jump up to the door to end the level.
This is the last level and is fairly tricky to explain. Watch the video for a full explanation. Both players go through the barrier to the right. and one uses portals to spread gel in the small room on the right. There are small holes in the glass for you to shoot portals through.
Use portals to go enter the room on the right and bounce up. Shoot a portal through the small hole to the roof. Go into the other small room and stand on the button to release the blue gel. Orange goes back out through the barrier and uses portals to spray the cube in the glass jar with gel. It will bounce around and break the glass.
Grab the cube and take it to the next area. Orange will need to stand on the red button to remove the barrier so Blue can take the cube through. The cube needs to be washed before it can be placed on a pressure plate. Blue holds the cube on the laser to lower the lift. Orange places a portal on the wall above the lift and one under Blue so Blue can fall through and land on the lift.
Blue drops the cube if he’s still holding it. Orange places portals, one on the floor and one opposite the room with the barrier. Blue jumps through and is flung through the barrier. Blue places a portal under the white dispenser and another on the wall, then stands on the button. The gel should get shot out through the barrier. Orange grabs the cube and washes it in the gel.
Place the cube in front of the laser. Use portals to get both players onto the lift. Use a portal on the cube to move it so it no longer blocks the laser. Place a portal on the floor and one on the sloped panel to get flung over to the door. Go through to the next section.
You’ll come to a large abandoned warehouse. Portal up to the top and use a portal on the side of the building and on the floor to fling yourself over to the walkway. Head towards the large doors to complete this section.
