Back to Goblins 3

You begin looking at the chessboard but you actually need to visit the storybook room first. You can find the exit at the top right side of the screen.

Storybook

Read page one of the story. Jump on the geometry book to the left 3 times until the arrows fall off. Pick up the Arrows and use them on the hole in the tree in the storybook. A Bowman will come out to help you.

Click on the right corner of the storybook to turn the page. Read page two and then click on the tower. A knight comes out but the path to you is not yet complete.

Walk to the right and pick up the Ink Brush. Stand Blount just to the right of the book with the numbers. Switch to Fulbert and click on the spider web to distract the spider. Quickly switch to Blount and click on the red drawing book up the top. Blount will find some Chalk.

Pick up the statue of the Horse and then stand to the right of the page of numbers. Switch to Fulbert and click on the heap of dust to sprinkle some on Blount. Switch to Blount and click on the dust. Blount will sneeze and blow the numbers off the page.

Pick up all of the Numbers and then go into the blue sculpture book to the left. Blount will find a Compass. Use the Compass on the sheet of paper just below the storybook to draw a figure eight. Pick up the Eight.

The spider still has the nine. Place Blount right next to the spider at the top right. Switch to Fulbert and click on the scenery in the moonlight to hide the moon. Blount will change back into a goblin and scare the spider. Pick up the Nine and then use the Axe on the wooden ruler. Pick up one of the Blocks of Wood.

Place the numbers One through Nine into the ink bottle. Use the Brush on the ink bottle to get some ink and then use the Brush on the page to draw a path. Click on the tower to call the knight. When the knight comes closer give the Horse to the knight. The Knight will now follow you.

Click on the right corner to turn to page three. Read the story and then use the Brush on the house. Use the Brush on the house once more and this time the figure will drop a mandolin. Pick up the Mandolin.

Walk up to the picture with the wagon at the top. Place the Coin on the missing wheel and then use the Brush on the wagon to draw a horse. When the wagon moves forward you can grab a Block of Marble. Pick up the Coin again and then exit through the bookshelf to the left.

Chessboard

With the Right Hand use the Compass on the Marble Block. Switch to the Left Hand and pick up the Chisel. Quickly Switch to the Right Hand and use the Hammer on the Chisel. Pick up the Rough Figure and use it on the can of paint. The Rough Figure will turn into a Painted Wolf. Pick up the Brush and use it on the Painted Wolf to complete the figure and turn him into the ‘Killer’. Pick up the Killer and put him on the chessboard.

Pick up the Chalk and use it on the wood. Pick up the Hammer and bring it closer to the block of wood. With the Left Hand pick up the Wood Chisel and use it on the wood. Quickly switch to the Right Hand and use the Hammer it on the Wood Chisel. Pick up the figure of Blount and dip him in the can of paint. Use the Brush on Blount to finish the figure and turn him into the ‘Lover’. Pick him up and put him on the chessboard.

Pick up one of the Balls with the Right Hand and one with the Left Hand. They’ll start juggling. One of the balls will drop and put a crack in the piggy bank. With the Right Hand pick up the Coin and put it into the piggy bank. A mouse will come out. With the Right Hand pick up the Mandolin. Switch to the Left Hand and click on the soundhole of the mandolin to play it. The mouse will become frozen. Pick up the Mouse and put him on the chessboard. This will begin the game of chess.

Game of Chess

Click on the rules at the top of the board if you want instructions on how to play. Unfortunately the mouse disappears when the game starts so you’ll need to place the Coin in the piggy bank and play the Mandolin again to freeze the mouse. This time pick up the Mouse and place him on the blue square diagonally to the right of the Chaperone. The Chaperone will run away, and so will the mouse.

Now pick up the Bowman and move him diagonally up to the next green square, and then diagonally back to the right twice. The Bowman will shoot one of the Lancers. Move the Knight left two squares and down one. Then move the Bowman diagonally up and to the right, to where the Knight just was. The Bowman will shoot the second Lancer. Finally move the Bowman up and to the left once and he will shoot the Key off the tower, and then down and to the left twice. The Bowman should shoot the square to the right of the King.

Grab the Killer (Wolfy) and move him up to the lever. He’ll pull the lever and get rid of the Executioner.

Move the Knight up one and to the left twice. He should be positioned on the green square next to the tree stump. Move him up one and to the right twice. Then up one and to the right twice to the right side of the King. The Knight will kill one of the King’s knights. Bring the Knight back one and left twice and then forward twice and right once so that he’s on the other side of the King. Once more the Knight will kill one of the King’s knights.

Bring the Killer up to the square with the Axe and the King will be defeated. Move the Lover to the square with the symbol of the mandolin. Pick up the Small Mandolin on the left, near to the can of paint, and give it to the Lover who will play for the Princess. Move to the left once to pick up the Key and enter the tower.
