You can secure the entire southern third of the map by placing units on the path between the trees. The enemy will send invisible units towards you so you need to make sure there isn’t a gap they can sneak through.

The easiest way to complete this mission is to hold the pass between the trees while you build up a force of 4 to 8 Warlocks. Research the Summon Daemon spell and send out Daemons to destroy the 2 Human outposts. A group of 4 Daemons can easily smash through the Human defences. You may need to send a few more to clean up any remaining buildings.
