Chapter 4 – Excursion Funnels

The extraction funnels will carry you, and any objects inside of them, along in one direction. Sometimes the direction can be reversed. Blue places a portal above the funnel and another in the wall over the edge. Both robots should jump into the funnel. As you’re moving along Orange will need to add two more portals to extend the funnel. One of the robots will reach the button which lifts up a platform below. The other robot can drop down onto the platform. Place a portal on the wall behind the platform and the other on the roof above the funnel. The second robot will drop down and you’ll both be carried along to the exit.

Blue places a portal under the excursion funnel and the second portal on the wall to the left so the funnel goes through the barrier to the right. Orange uses the bouncer to bounce into the funnel and passes through the barrier. Then presses the red button to get a ball.
Blue stands on the red button and places a portal under the funnel and the second on the panels to the right of the barrier. Orange places the ball in the funnel which causes it to drift into the panels hanging from the roof. Orange comes out of the barrier room and places portals on either side of the panels so the ball goes through and fits into the laser compartment. This opens the door to the exit.

Orange places a portal above the funnel and on the panel on the floor to the right. Blue places a portal on the sloped panel on the opposite wall and then glides up the funnel. Once Blue is high enough Orange removes the portal and stands on the red button. Blue must place the second portal on the panel underneath him so he gets flung out across the room and hits a screen near the roof. Orange places second portal on the wall underneath Blue so Blue gets carried along the funnel to the ledge with the cube.
Drop the cube off the edge so Orange can place it on the red button. Now the process is repeated for Orange. Once both players reach the ledge the exit door will open.

This fairly tricky level has the exit right above the entrance. Blue will need to use the excursion funnels to get to the exit and place a portal on the white panel on the wall by the ledge. Orange uses the funnels to get to the laser room. Blue makes his way to the laser room as well, while Orange presses the red button in the laser room to drop a cube. Blue takes the cube to the laser room and places his second portal on the wall. Drop the cube under the laser and position it so it hits the laser receptor on the wall by the exit. Both players go through the portal and up the steps to the exit door.

Blue places a portal at the end of the funnel and the second high up on the back wall. Step on the bouncer to get thrown into the funnel. Ride it all the way to a ledge with a cube. Once Blue has the cube Orange can step on the red button to reverse the funnel and bring Blue and the cube back.
Before the cube is all the way back place the second portal on the wall in the corner opposite the pressure plate on the wall. Orange steps off the red button to reverse the polarity again. The cube will go through the portals and land on the pressure plate which opens the exit.

Blue places a portal at the end of the funnel and on the wall to the left. Orange steps into the funnel and goes through the barrier. About half way down the room Orange places a portal on a panel to the left and replaces the portal above the funnel with one of his own. He will now drift along to a ledge with a red button which reverses the polarity of the funnels. Blue places a portal at the end of the funnel and on the wall to the left and steps in. Orange reverses the direction so Blue goes through the portal instead of through the barrier, which would remove all of his portals.
Use the funnels to bring Blue to the exit as well and head through the door to the next level.

Oranges bounces across to the other side while Blue goes through the barrier to the right and places a portal opposite the funnel. The second portal is placed on the panel across the water.
Orange places a portal at the end of the funnel and one on the platform on the ground on the left side of the room. Orange bounces across and gets stuck in his funnel. When he gets lifted up through the barrier his portals will disappear and he’ll drop down to the platform.
Blue reverses direction of the funnel and Orange steps into the funnel so he can be taken to the platform with the button. Stand on the button to lower a panel. Blue places a portal on the new panel and one on the ground platform pointing upwards. Blue uses the bouncer to be flung through the portal and up to the exit. From here Blue can place a portal at the end of the funnel and the second in the main room to bring Orange to the exit as well.

Orange places a portal at the end of the excursion funnel and then on the ledge underneath where you start. Blue drops off the ledge and rides the funnel. After riding through the barrier Blue places a portal at the end of the funnel and the second on the panel on the ground to the right. Blue can ride through the portal and up into the spike maze.
When Orange steps on the red button the funnel will be reversed. Orange will need to keep Blue away from the spikes as Blue moves the second portal to get through the maze to the other side. At the end of the maze Blue will spot a cube and turret on the ground to the right. Use the funnel to lift them up. Jump into the funnel and have Orange reverse the direction so the cube and Blue can be brought back to the other side.
Place a portal on the ground below and one one the sloped panel above. Drop into the panel on the floor to be flung over the barriers towards the exit. Make sure you take the cube with you. The second player does the same thing. Place the cube on the pressure plate and walk up the steps to the exit.

For this level one player will be using the light bridges and the other excursion funnels. Blue places a portal at the end of the light bridge and another on the pillar to the right to block off the turrets. Orange places a portal at the end of the excursion funnel.
Orange places the second portal on the panel around the corner and both players take a ride. When you reach the end wait for Blue to place the light bridge on a pillar in front of the turrets. Orange can then change the funnel to the wall facing the other direction. Blue will need to place the light bridge further along to defend against the next set of turrets. When you pass the barrier you’ll both drop down to a ledge below. Go through the door to the next area.
Blue places a portal at the end of the light bridge and up to the left to block the turrets. Orange places a portal at the end of the funnel and the second on the panel on the ground. Both players should float up the tunnel. Blue will need to move the light bridge up to protect against turrets as you float to the top. Get off at the ledge at the top.
Orange should be able to spot a panel off to the left. Replace the funnel so that it goes through this panel in the distance. Both players can get onto the funnel and take it to a building. Go up the stairs and place another portal on the wall to send the funnel off to the other side. Ride the funnel along to the exit on the left.
For this room you’ll need to use the funnel and the light bridge to make your way around the room and down to the office. Use the light bridges to block the turrets as you go. Inside the office pick up the disc and use it on the disc player to finish the level.
