Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a beautiful action/adventure game by Ember Lab. It was released on September 21st for Windows, PS4 and PS5. Ember Lab started out as an animation studio and it really shows with these gorgeous graphics and animations.

You’ll play as Kena, a spirit guide who helps spirits unable to move on to their next life. You’ll progress through large zones in a linear fashion so it isn’t entirely open world. There are corrupt spirits to save in each zone and bosses to fight.

Life is Strange: True Colors is the fifth in the series and is set in the small mountain town of Haven Springs. The playable lead character is Alex Chen. She has a unique ability, which she sometimes sees as a curse, to be able to read and feel the emotions of others.

The setting of Haven Springs is probably one of the best locations in the series. As you explore this area through the eyes of Alex you’ll need to embrace your own power while uncovering the dark secrets of the town.

Psychonauts 2 is a quirky platform adventure game by Double Fine Productions and has just been released for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. It’s a witty and hilarious sequel that will thrill you every step of the way.

Psychonauts 2 offers a feast for the senses with an imaginative and beautiful world. The sound effects are haunting with great voice acting. Along the way you’ll explore a number of hub areas that will lead you off in side quests, searching for collectibles or chatting with the other nutty characters.

Humankind is a 4x strategy game where you’ll get to rewrite the entire history and culture of humanity to create a new civilization. It was developed by Amplitude Studios and released on 18th August 2021.

You’ll start with a Neolithic tribe and build your empire to the modern day. Each time you enter a new era you’ll choose a new culture. There are 60 playable cultures spanning the 6 eras. Each of the cultures come with their own unique districts and units.

Two years after it was first released for early access Subnautica: Below Zero is getting its full release on Steam on the 14th May 2021. Below Zero features a whole new area in the arctic region of planet 4546B to explore with entirely new biomes, life forms, habitats and vehicles.

Subnautica: Below Zero has a slightly smaller map than the original but each of the environments is packed with detail. There’s still a lot to explore even though Below Zero focuses more on story elements. Read the rest of this entry
